Any advice on what to take for a cold, lozenge-wise?

Well, it seems I have a bit of a cold. Yeah, I know it's freakin' July. Go figure. I usually take Halls and those are really great at keeping me functional and comfortable. Any ideas of what to take other than that? I'm only talking lozenges and syrups here. Any advice would be appreciated. Low-carbers can't do the sugar-laden lozenges. :(

Hi Brian,
For a cold I usually take pills b/c I want to stay away from the sugar and I also buy the sugar free halls.
Not much else to do... except wait 7 days until it's over!!

I'm taking Cold F/X and some homeopathic stuff. Depends what sweetener is in sugar-free Halls. That stuff usually doesn't agree with me. I won't tell you how since this is a family show! Ha! Awww @ grape Aquafina. Well they should have it in Ottawa unless it's only popular around the Maritimes for some reason! Can't imagine...

I have the same problem with Maltinol so I get what you are saying......(the reason why I order my chocolate from Toronto since I ca't find alot of that stuff around here!!) That stuff is nasty.
The sugar free Halls I buy doesn't have it in it if that helps.

I know I found them in the same packaging as the oringinal halls but with Sugar Free written on them right because the cash register so they are around.

Colds are really bad this time around here also because of the high humidity (31 by lunchtime today) and the air conditioners.
So far I am lucky and haven't caught one but it's a matter of time I guess.

Great! Glad you found some. It's really nice. I'm alternating between orange and grape, but prefer the grape. Happy drinking!
