Tomorrow's the Week #3 weigh-in!

Wish me luck! I didn't get my water in today because I had to travel to another city for a funeral. Didn't think it would be a good idea to gorge myself on water and then need to wee-wee right in the middle of it. Not terribly classy. :( By the time I got home, it was a bit too late to drink 2L of water... but I got in what I could. Diet-wise, I was bang on. So no problems there.

This is going really well. :)

Getting bored with water?

I love grape-flavoured Aquafina Flavor Splash! Buy some today if you're a fan of grape-flavoured beverages and getting a bit bored with plain old water. This stuff is really refreshing. I always have some in my refrigerator these days. I'm starting to fit flavoured waters into my daily water count as a great way to avoid boredom.

High Liner BBQ seafood kabobs

They look good in the package, for sure... but good looks don't mean they're tasty! I bought some High Liner BBQ seafood kabobs last night (haddock) and was very disappointed. Perhaps they're just not compatible with my George Foreman Grill. Anyway, I found them really tasteless. Maybe I should have seasoned, them, I don't know... maybe some melted butter would have helped. Regardless, I won't be buying them again. These would probably be better in a marinade or covered with a sauce of some kind, but I'm staying away from a lot of that stuff.

So far, so good!

Had a temptation tonight to eat fast food. Was out visiting family and we ended up eating at a seafood takeout. I passed, thank you very much! Everything was breaded. No can do. Luckily, I wasn't hungry anyway. Since I've been on low-carb, those massive hunger swings and cravings have disappeared. Woohoo! So as much as I like deep-fried fish, clams and scallops, I took a pass. Have a ham boiling now and lots of food for tomorrow. :) So I'm good.

Week 2: Another 8 lb.

Well, Week 2 is gone and with it go another 8 lb. Woohoo! That's a total of 16 lb. so far in just two weeks. Quite happy! I started feeling it yesterday. More comfortable. My face looked a bit smaller in the mirror. :) I have to get prepared for next week, however, when I start a full-time two-month contract with a PR agency here in town. This means that I won't be home to fix my meals. I'll really have to plan ahead and get prepared to ensure that I have the right food with me at work.

No excuses!
