Week #91: Down -1.5 lb for a total of -111 lb

After a rough patch after Christmas, I went back to basics last week. No low-carb desserts, cut back on coffee cream, cut back on late night (low-carb) snacking.

I find that after losing so much weight, you get a bit cocky. "Oh, I'll just continue to lose no matter what I do." Wrong! No matter how successful a person has been, you must be dilligent and continue on the plan. It's so easy to fall into old habits.

No matter whether you're eating low-carb or not, you CAN'T eat everything you want. There are common-sense limits on everything, especially high-calorie (yet low-carb) food items such as nuts, sour cream, etc. I don't avoid these things at all. I don't avoid high-fat foods. However, that doesn't mean you can gorge yourself on anything low-carb and expect to continue losing.

With that said, I'm energized by a loss this week and am back below 300 lb, although barely. It's great motivation to want to (nay - NEED to) stay below that. Now on to the 200 lb mark!

Onwards and upwards! Oops... I mean downwards! :)

If I can do it, so can you!

No excuses!
